This is Lady Jane, the Canadian lynx at the wildlife refuge where I worked over the summer. Although Woodlands Wildlife Refuge usually rehabilitates animals and releases them back into the wild, Jane had been abused and declawed by her previous owners and therefore would have a very low chance of survival if released.
I'm sure it's obvious to most people but it apparently isn't to some: keeping wild animals as pets is just not a good idea. And it's illegal, so there's also that.
